The Pomeranian dog breed may be small in stature, but they are big on confidence. They are lively, expressive, intelligent, alert, and loyal, but they can also be stubborn, feisty, and temperamental. They make good watch dogs and can scare people away with just their distinct, loud bark which makes them sound bigger than they are. Pomeranians look fluffy when dry, but can be mistaken as a Chihuahua when wet. They like to follow people closely, but should be trained not to, because stepping on them could seriously hurt them.
